페이퍼 컷팅 기법을 이용한 도자 생활용품 디자인연구 = A Study on the Ceramic Design of Household Items Manufactured with Paper-cutting Technique

국문 초록 (Abstract)

페이퍼 컷팅은 중국의 전통적인 예술중에서 가장 보편적이고 가장 활기찬 예술형식의 하나로 중국 사람들의 심리특징, 생활에 대한 추구와 심미정취를 반영한다. 도자기 문화처럼 이는 동일하게 인류의 지혜와 심미를 반영하는 주요한 매개(媒介)로 페이퍼 커팅이라는 예술적 특징을 도자기라는 재질에 접목한 것은 새로운 시도와 탐구로서, 본 연구자는 우선 관련된 참고문헌을 열독하고 이해한 후 페이퍼 컷팅의 이론 개념을 개괄하고 논술하며 이어서 페이퍼 컷팅과 도자기가 결합된 역사와 현대에서 양자가 서로 결합된 구체적인 운용을 서술하였다. 이어서 본 연구자는 페이퍼 컷팅의 투각법을 통하여 본 작품에 대한 응용연구와 본 작품이 부여한 함의 및 제작과정을 각각 설명하였다.
도자기와 중국 페이퍼 컷팅 예술의 결합은 간단한 모방이 아니다. 중국 페이퍼 컷팅 기법을 이용한 도자 생활용품을 사용하는 것에는 두 가지 전통 예술을 경험할 수 있다. 본 연구자는 생활용품의 몇 가지를 제작하였으며 앞으로 도자기와 페이퍼 컷팅을 결합한 작품연구는 광범위한 생활속에 이용될 것으로 생각된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Paper-cutting, as one of the most common and dynamic art forms in Chinese traditional art, reflects the intrinsic characteristic, life pursuit, and esthetic taste of Chinese people. Ceramic culture, for example, also serves as the primary medium in the reflection of human wisdom and esthetic taste. It is a new attempt and exploration to graft features of paper-cutting onto ceramic material. Researcher of this thesis, on one hand, reads and comprehends the related literatures to summarize and elaborate the theoretical concept of paper-cutting, then introduces the history of the combination of paper-cutting technique and ceramics. The researcher on the other hand, explains the application of hollow technique of paper-cutting to researcher’s works; expounds the meaning of patterns embedded in researcher’ works; and details the production process of researcher’s works.
The application of paper-cutting technique to modern ceramics is not to simply imitate, but to apply the combination to the design of household items, and to appreciate the two kinds of traditional arts in a time. The researcher makes several household items; and believes that items manufactured by the combination of paper-cutting technique and ceramics can be widely used in everyday life.
