The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of promoting self-expression in children with intellectual disabilities through developmental art therapy. The subjects of this study are two children with intellectual disabilities who need to improve their self-expression at D city A center. The program was conducted twice a week, for a total of 10 sessions, for 60 minutes, from April 11, 2024 to May 14, 2024. As for the measurement tools, the social, emotional and developmental education goals and evaluation (DTORT-R), the self-expression scale, and the evaluation of Bach-Feldman and Kunkle-Miller were used. In addition, changes related to self-expression and social and emotional development in daily life were compared and described based on the guardian's report. The results of this study are summarized as follows.
