자녀의 심리적 특성에 따른 스마트폰 부모중재 유형에 대한 만족도 : 심리적 반발심과 외로움을 매개로 = Satisfaction with the Types of Parental Mediation to Children's Smartphone Use according to Their Psychological Characteristics : Via Psychological Reactance and Loneliness

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 자녀의 심리적 상태에 따라 부모의 스마트폰 중재 유형에 대한 만족도에 어떤 차이가 있는지 알아보기 위해 진행되었다. 스마트폰 과의존이 발생시키는 문제는 갈수록 심각해지고 있으며 스마트폰을 소유하게 되는 나이도 점점 더 낮아지고 있다. 그래서 부모의 스마트폰 중재 유형에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있지만 스마트폰 중재 방법은 누구에게나 똑같이 적용시킬 수 없다. 같은 방법도 개인의 심리적 특성에 따라 높은 만족도를 보일 수 있고 그렇지 않을 수도 있기 때문에 심리적 특성에 따라 어떤 부모 중재 유형이 높은 만족도를 보이는지 깊이 있는 분석이 필요한 시점이다.
자녀의 심리적 특성은 심리적 반발심과 외로움을 기준으로 하였으며 스마트폰 부모중재유형은 제한적 중재, 설명적 중재, 공동 사용으로 분류하였다. 스마트폰을 보유하고 있는 4학년, 5학년, 6학년 중 본인의 스마트폰을 소유하고 있는 130명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였고 그 중 취합된 124부를 최종 결과 분석에 사용하였다. 심리적 반발심을 느끼는 정도에 따라 제한적 중재, 설명적 중재, 공동 사용 부모 중재 유형에 대한 만족도를 알아보고, 외로움을 느끼는 정도에 따라 제한적 중재, 설명적 중재, 공동 사용 부모 중재 유형에 대한 만족도를 알아보기 위해 SPSS Statistics 28프로그램을 활용하여 위계적 회기 분석을 진행하였다.
분석 결과, 자녀의 심리적 상태에 따라 부모 중재 유형에 대한 만족도에는 차이가 나타났다. 첫 번째, 심리적 반발심이 강할수록 부모의 제한적 중재, 설명적 중재, 공동 사용 유형에 대한 만족도에 차이가 있었으며 그 중에서도 제한적 중재 유형에 대해 가장 낮은 만족도가 나타났고 그 다음으로는 설명적 중재, 공동 사용 유형 순이었다. 두 번째, 외로움을 많이 느끼는 자녀는 제한적 중재 부모 유형에 대해 낮은 만족도를 보이는 것으로 나타났다.
본 연구는 자녀의 스마트폰 사용에 대해 어떻게 중재해야하는지 부모의 입장에서 중재 유형을 분석하기 이전에 자녀의 심리적 상태를 파악하는 것이 더욱 중요하며 이 과정이 우선시 되어야 한다는 것을 밝혀냈다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to investigate differences in satisfaction with the types of parental mediation to children's smartphone use according to the children's psychological states. The issues caused by smartphone overdependence are growing more serious every day with the age of the first smartphone ownership dropping gradually. There is growing interest in the types of parental mediation to children's smartphone use, but the mediation methods cannot be applied to everyone in the same way. Even the same methods can result in different levels of satisfaction according to the psychological characteristics of individuals. Some might have high satisfaction, and others might not. It is time to carry out a profound analysis of which parental mediation type leads to children's high satisfaction according to their psychological characteristics.
In the study, children's psychological characteristics are psychological reactance and loneliness. The types of parental mediation to children's smartphone use are categorized into restrictive mediation, instructive mediation, and co-use. A survey was conducted with 130 fourth, fifth, and sixth graders who possessed a smartphone, and 124 questionnaires returned were used in the final analysis. A hierarchical regression analysis was conducted with the SPSS Statistics 28 program to examine satisfaction with the parental mediation types including restrictive mediation, instructive mediation, and co-use according to the degree of psychological reactance and loneliness.
The analysis results show differences in children's satisfaction with the parental mediation types according to their psychological states. First, stronger psychological reactance led to differences in satisfaction with parents' restrictive mediation, instructive mediation, and co-use. Children had the lowest level of satisfaction with restrictive mediation, which was followed by instructive mediation and co-use in the order. Secondly, children who felt lonely a lot had a low level of satisfaction with restrictive mediation.
The present study demonstrated that it was more important to figure out children's psychological state than analyzing the mediating types in the position of parents over how to mediate children's smartphone use and that this process should be a priority, thus holding its significance.
