노자의 '유무상생'(有無相生)사상을 표현한 미디어아트 연구 : 본인 작품을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

새로운 미디어가 빠르게 발전하는 시대 배경 아래서 예술 작품의 형식은 전통적 회화와 조각 등에서 영상과 설치 등으로 진화해 나가고 있다. 복잡하고 다변화된 표현 형식을 통찰하여 작품 내부의 사상적 의미를 이해하는 것이 현대 예술 감상의 중요한 핵심이 되었다. 본 연구는 철학적 관점으로 작품의 내면에 관통하는 사상을 분석하는 시도를 하였다. 구체적으로, 도가 학파의 창시자인 노자의 '유무상생'(有無相生) 사상을 중심으로 뉴미디어 아트에 어떻게 노자 사상이 표현되어 있는 지 기존의 작품 사례를 분석하였다. 더욱이 작품의 의미에 담겨있는 함의를 분석하는데 집중하였다. 노자의 철학을 내포하는 예술작품으로 󰡔FADE󰡕와 󰡔Papilionaceous󰡕를 제작하였다. 본 논문에서는 작품의 창작 배경 및 제작 과정을 설명하고, 어떻게 노자의 철학이 녹아 들어 있는지 분석하였다. 마지막으로 본 논문에서 작품 제작과 철학적 연구의 과제를 돌이켜보고 새로운 기획과 전망을 제시한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

With the rapid development of new media art, the form of art works has changed from traditional paintings and sculptures to images and installations. How to understand the ideological connotation of art works through the changeable surface has become a major focus of art appreciation at present. This paper will try to use philosophical thinking to analyze artistic works. Focusing on the thought 'being and not-being grow out of one another' of Lao Zi, who was the founder of the Taoist school, this paper analyzes how new media works of art embody the thought of 'being and not-being grow out of one another' to further explore the spiritual connotation of the works. This paper finds a way to combine philosophy with art and applies it to the creation of personal works. Taking personal works FADE and  Papilionaceous as examples, this paper specifically describes the creation background and production process, and analyzes how to integrate philosophical ideas into personal works. At the end of the thesis, the author reflects on the shortcomings in the works and research, and proposes new plans and prospects.
