학교도서관 사서교사의 전자책 서비스에 대한 인식도 조사

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 코로나 19와 같은 유행성 질병 상황에서 비대면 온라인 서비스인 학교도서관의 전자책 도서관 구축 운영 현황을 파악하고, 전자책 도서관에 대한 인식 및 활용도를 조사하였다. 구축 여부에 따른 인식을 비교하여 전자책 도서관 활용 방안을 제안하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울 지역을 중심으로 학교도서관 전담인력 사서(교사)를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과를 토대로 결론을 도출하면 다음과 같다.
먼저 사회적 현상으로 바라볼 때 코로나 19에 가장 두드러지게 나타나는 특징은 비대면과 단절이다. 일차적으로 교육의 정보를 다양하게 얻을 수 있는 학교도서관이 단절되어 버렸기에 학생들은 배움에 어려움이 따른다.
다음으로 개인적 측면을 살펴보면, 코로나 블루와 같은 우울감 등이 정신적, 심리적 치유가 필요하게 만들었다. 친구들과 나눌 수 없는 수다와 장난을 전자자료로 대신 채울 수 있다. 학우들과 함께 할 수 없는 시간을 온라인상의 여러 자료들을 통해 대체하고 보완할 수 있다.
학생 이용자의 입장에서 교육의 “내용”과 “방법”에 따라 활용방안을 제시하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 학습자 맞춤형 전자자료의 양과 질을 높여야 한다. 실용성을 지닌 전자책 도서관으로 자리하기 위해서는 학생 이용자의 요구에 맞는 전자자료가 적절히 마련되어야 한다. 교육적 효과까지 배려한 학생의 지적, 심리적, 성장 및 발달에 긍정적 영향을 꼼꼼히 따져 전자자료를 구성해야 한다.
둘째, 전자자료 서비스 대출 환경에 대한 보강이다. 전자자료를 손쉽게 접할 수 있어야 하는 디지털 기기는 물론 플랫폼 또한 다각도로 뻗쳐있어야 한다.
학교도서관의 운영자의 입장에서 전자책 도서관의 “내용”과 “방법”에 따라 활용방안을 제시하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 사서의 재교육이 필요하다. 재교육은 개별 학교 단위로만 이뤄지기에는 무리가 있으므로 교육청 단위별 정책적 노력이 필요하다.
둘째, 운영 장비 구입을 위한 충분한 예산 마련이다. 도서관 예산 또한 전자책 도서관이 원활하게 운영되기 위한 필수 조건이다. 충분한 재정이 따르지 않으면 운영의 주체자는 일을 추진하기에 어려움이 따른다.
마지막으로 강조할 부분은 정책적 부분으로 전자책 도서관만의 커뮤니티가 필요하다. 전자자료의 플랫폼과의 소통과 전자책 도서관 구축 및 미구축학교간의 소통이다.
유행성 질병에 따른 비대면 상황에서 전자책 도서관의 중요성은 매우 크고 학교도서관이 나아갈 발전적인 행태임이 분명하며 그 가치를 높여가기 위해 수정과 보완이 필요하다. 향후 학교도서관 전자책 도서관 운영 및 활성화에 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대해본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study identified the status of e-book library construction and operation of school libraries, which are non-face-to-face online services, in the face of epidemic diseases such as COVID-19, and investigated the perception and utilization of e-book libraries. The purpose of the study is to propose a plan to utilize the e-book library by comparing the perception according to whether it is established or not. To this end, a survey was conducted on librarians and school librarians dedicated to school libraries in the Seoul area. Based on the results, the conclusion is as follows.
First of all, when viewed as a social phenomenon, the most prominent feature of COVID-19 is non-face-to-face and disconnection. First of all, the school library where information on education can be obtained in various ways has been cut off, making it difficult for students to learn.
Next, looking at the personal aspect, depression such as Covid Blue made mental and psychological healing necessary. You can fill up chatter and pranks that you cannot share with your friends with electronic materials instead. You can replace and supplement the time you cannot spend with your friends through various online materials.
From the perspective of student users, the application plan according to the "content" and "method" of education is as follows.
First, the quantity and quality of electronic data should be improved. In order to become a practical e-book library, electronic materials that meet the needs of student users must be properly prepared. Electronic data should be constructed based on the positive impact on the intellectual, psychological, growth, and development of students who even consider educational effects.
Second, it is reinforcement of the electronic data service loan environment. It should be equipped with a platform as well as digital devices that require easy access to electronic data.
From the perspective of the operator of the school library, the use plan according to the "content" and "method" of the e-book library is as follows.
First, re-education of librarians is necessary. Since re-education is too much to be conducted only at an individual school level, policy efforts for each education office level are required.
Second, there is a sufficient budget for purchasing operating equipment. The library budget is also a prerequisite for e-book libraries to operate smoothly. It is difficult for the person in charge of the operation who does not have sufficient finances to promote the work.
The last part to emphasize is the policy part, and a community unique to e-book libraries is needed. It is communication with the platform of electronic data, the establishment of an e-book library, and communication between unbuilt schools.
In a non-face-to-face situation due to epidemic diseases, the importance of e-book libraries is very great and it is clear that they are a developmental behavior for school libraries to move forward, and modifications and supplements are needed to increase their value. It is expected to be used as basic data for the operation and activation of the school library e-book library in the future.
