In the present study, numerical procedures to consider two off-design conditions, blade deformation and yawed inflow, were developed for the performance prediction of a horizontal axis tidal stream turbine. The developed procedures were verified by grid dependency tests and validated by comparing the results with existing experimental data. Then the developed procedures for fluid-structure interaction analysis and yawed inflow simulation were applied to the baseline turbines, respectively. In the simulation considering the blade deformation, the results were compared for rigid and deforming blades and discussed in terms of the turbine performance. In addition, the effects of various yawed inflow conditions were also studied in the simulation considering yawed inflow.
