Humans live in a variety of organizations, from birth to death. Each organization exists to realize its own purpose and value, except for some special cases, most organizations are guaranteed the future of the organization and strive to recognize the organization's goals and actions from the surroundings. The value of sustainability, which is spreading in modern times, is not limited to finite resources, nations, and environments, but the core values that are common to all organizations today.
And one of the values based on the realization of sustainability of the organization is Organizational legitimacy. If the organization's existence is necessary in the society, or if the goal of the organization's activities or pursuit can lead to the stakeholders, the organization has secured the organization. Public institutions have the purpose of public interest, depend on the government's financial initiation, and are characterized by the pursuit of business that operates the organization according to the market principle while being controlled by political abuse rather than market dominance. As a result, public institutions have various stakeholders such as governments, companies, interest groups, and citizens, so the importance of securing legitimacy is much higher than other organizations.
This study aims to examine the relationship by analyzing the acts for justification acquisition and the non-financial achievements of the institution, focusing on institutional and strategic behavior, which is a legitimate acquisition method presented by the organizational legitimacy theory. Here, 'institutional acts' are the acts that follow the system given to various regulations, laws, systems, and culture in the society where the organization belongs, and 'strategic acts' are voluntary based on competitive advantage of the organization's human, material, and information. It is to increase the value of the organization with a will.
In this study, the analysis was set as an analysis category from 2018 to 2022, and 365 data from 73 public companies and quasi -government institutions with all five years of observation. In addition, there are 11 variables used in this study, and we have conducted a Pearson correlation analysis to identify the correlation between various variables to examine the relationship and relationships. The causal relationship has been verified of what affects.
In summary, the results of the analysis did not discover direct correlation between institutional and strategic acts and non -relaits, but it was found that the 'CSR implementation' indicators of the institutional acts were significant with the 'customer satisfaction', which is a non -financial achievement. Like the previous research (Han Myung -sung & Moon Seung -min, 2020), it was confirmed that fulfilling social responsibilities as a public institution was still a valid means of recognition and support from the public. There was no clear causal relationship between behavior and performance, but this study secured the continuity of organizational legitimacy studies targeting public institutions, and the 'organizational age' variable has the relationship between customer satisfaction and positive(+), It is meaningful in that it has confirmed the significance of comprehensive integrity and negative(-).
As a limit of this study, the dependency variable was used by scoring the dependent variable between the first and four grades, not the 100 points. It is assumed that more significant relationships will be derived when analyzed with score data. In addition, this study was conducted only 73 institutions in which public institutions from 2018 to 2022 were observed with all independence, subordination, and control variables. Public institutions and other public institutions that do not meet the above standards were excluded from the analysis.
Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to generalization and interpretation of the research results.
