This work was conducted to study the distribution of velocity field in the inlet region of evaporator for automobile HVAC(Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning). By experimental and numerical simulation method, we found out that the installation position of evaporator in cool air blowing system had optimal value. Also, the porous media assumption of evaporator in computational domain assured to valid when compared with experimental results. Finally, the present study may give an analytical approach method about the diffusing scroll which proved to be very efficient and silent by experimentally.
