朝鮮後期 門中通文의 類型과 性格_preprint

국문 초록 (Abstract)

통문을 작성하고 발급한 주체는 개인과 단체 등 매우 다양하다. 그 중에서도 현재 전하는 통문을 중심으로 볼 때, 門中에서 발급한 通文은 전체의 30%정도를 차지하며, 서원 · 향교 관련 통문과 함께 그 중심축을 이룬다. 뿐만 아니라 문중통문에는 조선후기 친족조직의 활동 양상이 그대로 반영되어 있다. 조선시대의 친족질서는 대체로 17세기 중후반을 전후로 부계중심으로 변화하였고, 이에 상응하여 형성된 문중조직은 爲先事業, 族譜刊行, 宗會와 族稧 운영 등의 다양한 사업을 추진하였다. 그 과정에서 통문은 친족간에 서로 通知하거나 의사를 결집하고, 협력을 요청하는 등 事業을 추진하는 데 있어서 매우 중요한 역할을 하였다. 문중통문은 조선후기 부계 친족질서의 확립과 그 성격을 파악할 수 있는 주요한 자료라고 할 수 있다.
본고에서는 현재 전하는 通文을 최대한 수집하여, 통문의 형태와 내용을 종합적으로 분석할 것이다. 나아가 문중통문을 주체와 주제에 따라 몇가지 유형으로 분류하고 내용을 구체적으로 살펴봄으로써, 여기에 반영된 조선후기 친족조직의 활동 양상과 통문의 기능을 검토하고, '문중통문'의 역사적 성격에 접근해 보고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is that analyze the types and characteristics on the circular letters( 通文) written in late Choson. Nowadays, There are very many circular letters of the late Choson still existant in the form of the old archives. In this study, 1,100 cases of the circular letters have been collected.
The main users of the circular letters are Seowon( 書院, A private school annexed to the confucian shrine), Hyangkyo( 鄕校, A local school annexed to the confucian shrine), Yurim(The gentry and confucianists), the clan, the fraternity and the local province. Besides, There were the individual, the several peoples, the groups, and so on.
Among them, the circular letters sended from the clan are 321 cases, 30% in total. Especially, the circular letters sended from the clan reflects the aspects of the operations of the clans changed to the parternal side in the late Choson. As a result, Mainly there came into the circular letters relevant to the Wison( 爲先)­projects, the genealogy compilations, the lawsuit for the mountain including the tombs, the clan meeting and the clan fraternity. Among them, the circular letters relevant to the Wison-projects and the genealogy compilations were showed overwhelming high frequency of use.
In the premodern society under -advanced in the communication system, the circular letter was very useful to the groups of the clan when they informed the plans to the members, gathered their opinions to reach the agreement, and asked for assistence of them. Because the circular letter was sended to the many persons and was the opened form of the document, while the letter, the closed form of document, sended from a person to a person was very restrictive in use. Also, it had quite effect on the operation of the group of the clan, because It was developed on the various types of the sending system, such as the relay sending, the charger sending, etc. After all, the groups of the clans could promote their operations and strengthen their unity through suitable use of the circular letters according to the conditions.
