consonant harmony is predominant in developing child languaes, unlike fully developed adult languages tha trarely show a long-distance assimilation among non-adjacent consonants. In this paper it is shown based on a detailed study of on child's acquisition of korean that consonant harmony also prevails in the course of acquisition. The purpose of this paper is to document and account for the varioius patterns of consonant harmony found in the acquisitional phonology of Korean.
