노후준비를 위한 베이비붐세대의 자원봉사 효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 베이비부머 자원봉사자들의 특성을 분석하고 자원봉사가 사회통합감에 영향을 미치는지, 역할정체성과 자원봉사만족은 자원봉사가 사회통합감에 영향을 미치는 매개효과가 있는지를 파악하고, 자원봉사의 효과성을 통하여 베이비붐세대의 자원봉사의 활성화 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 본 연구대상은 서울과 경기, 인천의 수도권의 베이비부머 자원봉사자 280명이다. 자원봉사동기의 정도에 따른 변인들의 차이를 비교하기위해서는 t-test를 실시하였다. 자원봉사특성의 직접효과와 매개효과를 파악하기위하여는 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 다중회귀분석시 자원봉사 역할정체성과 자원봉사만족의 매개효과 검증을 위하여 Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 분석방법이 사용되었다. 연구결과에 의하면 수입이 높을수록 역할정체성 및 자원봉사만족은 높았다. 또한 종교유무는 역할정체성에 영향을 주는데 차이를 보였으며 주관적 건강은 자원봉사만족에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 자원봉사동기는 역할정체성, 자원봉사만족, 사회통합감에 모두 유의하게 영향을 미쳤으며 자원봉사에 대한 타인의 반응도 사회통합감에 유의하게 영향을 미쳤다. 자원봉사만족은 자원봉사동기의 자아통합감에 미치는 영향에 부분매개효과를 나타내고 있다. 베이비부머 자원봉사자들의 자원봉사동기는 역할정체성, 자원봉사만족, 사회통합감 등 모두 유의한 영향을 미쳐 역할상실로 사회적으로 소외되기쉬운 노년기에 연속성의 특성을 갖고있는 자원봉사는 중요한 사회통합 및 역할상실의 대체제로서의 중요한 영역이 될 것으로 기대된다.

또한 자원봉사활동 특성 및 자원봉사활동 경험 인지의 사회통합감에의 영향파악의 연구결과에 의하면 자원봉사자들의 주관적 건강상태가 높을수록 사회통합감이 높았다. 자원봉사동기는 사회통합감에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 베이비부머 자원봉사자들의 자원봉사를 통한 만족감은 유의한 영향을 미쳐 역할상실로 사회적으로 소외되기쉬운 노년기에 연속성의 특성을 갖고있는 자원봉사는 중요한 사회통합 및 역할상실의 대체제로 중요한 영역임을 알 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the babyboomers' volunteering and whether variables are affecting role identity and social integration. It also examines whether the volunteering affected the social integration through volunteering role identity and volunteering satisfaction. Then the purpose of this study is to suggest the policy and practical implication for the babyboomers' psychosocial preparation of older life. The sample size of this study is 280 babyboomers, 140 of which registered at volunteer centers. The remaining half of the sample came from babyboomers who were volunteering but did not register at volunteer centers. For collecting data, interview methods were used. The target population was selected using ratio sampling based on population census. As for the data analysis methods, to compare two groups high motivation and low motivation, t-tests were used. For testing the effect of volunteering on the role identity, volunteer satisfaction and social integration, multiple regressions were used. To test the mediating effect of role identity and the volunteering satisfaction, Baron and Kenny's method were used.
