국문 초록 (Abstract)

거리예술축제의 미학적 해부

본 연구는 거리예술축제(festival des arts de la rue)의 예술ㆍ사회ㆍ미학에 관한 고찰과 이를 바탕으로 거리예술축제 경영이론을 생성하기 위함이다. 그 핵심 주제는 거리예술축제의 작품, 거리, 관중, 사회 환경을 대상으로 하고 있다. 이러한 목적의 배경에는 우리의 서구 문화수용과정에서 문화에 담긴 본질적 의미를 간과하고 그 외형만을 수용함으로써 사회 경제적인 낭비와 소모가 있었기 때문이다. 따라서 서구 거리예술축제의 본질적 의미를 파악하고, 이를 우리 문화 속에 용해하여 재생산함으로써 우리문화의 특성에 맞는 거리페스티벌 문화를 위한 축제문화경영이론을 생성하고자 함이다.
거리예술축제는 유럽전역은 물론 전 세계로의 확장일로에 있는 문화기재이자 사회문화현상이기다. 그러나 본 연구의 체계와 개인연구의 한계로 인해 실증적 예제의 범위를 프랑스와 우리나라에 국한하고자 한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 본 연구를 통해 전반적인 거리예술축제 양상을 이해할 수 있으리라 기대한다. 왜냐면 프랑스 거리예술축제는 유럽을 넘어 전 세계 예술가들을 포용하고 있기 때문이다. 오늘날 프랑스 거리예술축제는 30년의 짧은 역사에도 불구하고 문화민주화와 문화자치란 측면에서 가장 비중 있는 문화기재의 하나로 부각되고 있다. 그 이유는 거리예술축제가 지닌 예술사회학적인 측면은 기존의 문화공연이나 문화예술공연축제와는 다른 구조, 양식, 가치를 지니고 있기 때문이다. 즉 공공장소란 요소로 인해 독특한 사회ㆍ문화ㆍ예술적 의미를 지니고 있고, 대중에게 무료 혹은 저렴한 비용으로 양질의 문화예술작품을 제공한다는 측면과 더불어 무용예술ㆍ연극ㆍ영화ㆍ음악ㆍ회화와 그래픽 등과 같은 모든 장르의 예술을 동시에 제공하는 측면이 있기 때문이다. 또한 아마추어에게 도약의 기회가 되는 시장(market)의 기능도 지니고 있다. 이와 같은 거리예술축제는 차후 우리 문화예술의 흐름과 축제문화에도 지대한 영향을 끼칠 것으로 여겨진다.

Dissection sur l'esthétique du festival des arts de la rue

The purpose of this study is to consider the aesthetic value and cultural significance of two objects, street art festival and street arts. To do this, it is first necessary to examine the historical, socio-cultural significance and characteristics of street art, street party, festival fringe festival and street arts.
