한국어 학습자의 한국어 습득에 대한 교육생애사적 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국어 학습자가 한국어를 학습하는 일정 기간 동안 어떠한 학습 과정을 겪는지를 생애사적 연구방법을 통해 한국어교육의 현장을 학습자가 들려 준 이야기를 통해 세밀하게 기술하는데 목적이 있다.
본고의 연구 대상자는 두 명의 중국인 학습자로 대학과 대학원 진학을 목표로 언어교육원에서 한국어를 배우는 학습자들이다. 이들과 연구자는 학습자에게 연구 의도와 목적을 밝혀 동의를 구한 후, 지난 2014년 12월부터 2015년 10월까지 만나 자유로운 대화를 녹음하였다. 수집한 자료를 전사하여 한국어 학습자가 한국어를 배우는 동안 어느 시점까지 한국어 능력이 향상되고 어느 시점에서 한국어 습득의 속도가 늦어지는지를 학습자를 둘러 싼 교실 안과 밖에서 일어나는 학습자와 관련된 일들에 주목하여 이를 교육적 관점에서 기술하고자 하였다.
이러한 연구를 통해, 한국어 학습자는 한국어 학습 수준으로 3급까지 지속적으로 한국어가 향상되며, 4급 즉 한국어를 학습한 지 9개월부터 12개월이 되는 기간에는 그 속도가 느려짐을 알 수 있었다. 이는 한국어를 비롯한 한국 생활의 적응에는 익숙해졌지만 그러한 익숙함은 지루함으로 이어지고, 지루함은 학습 의욕의 저하에 영향을 주는 것으로 보인다. 또한 학습자가 들려 준 이야기를 통해, 교실 안과 밖에서 배우는 한국어의 차이, 한국어 학습에서 또래 집단의 활동을 통한 한국어 학습의 효과 및 필요성에 대해 알 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to describe how a learner of the Korean language experiences learning process in the course of certain period of study from the study approach of their lifelong education. The subject of this study was oriented to a learner of the Korean language who is enrolled in a language institute aiming at admission to a graduate school, and free conversation with them has been recorded during from December of 2014 through October of 2015.
This study allowed to have a knowledge on the fact that the learner of the Korean language constantly improves them level up to grade 3, while the speed slows down when they reaches up to grade 4, which coincides with the 9th to 12th month from the beginning of the Korean language study. The reason can be found in the fact that the learner became used to adapting to Korean life style but they became inevitably bored again when they didn't find anything new in Korea. they also gave opinion on the effects and necessity of the Korean language learning through activities with their peer group. Though this study encounters some limitation in the sense that it was oriented to only one learner but I wish to highlight the true value of this present study which consists in its trial of research method based on incessant meetings and conversations
