    Korean society has had multi-cultural experiences such as the growth of international marriage rate which may produce the splits of Korean society, so the needs of multi-cultural education has been increased. Especially Jeonnam province has been the No. 1 area of the international marriage rate in Korea. The children of international marriage families have been entering elementary schools there and they sometimes get suffered from explicit and implicit discriminations based on various prejudices.
    Therefore, the core task of multi-cultural education is to produce anti-prejudice educational methods and strategies, which can prevent against any type of discriminations in schools and in a society. Anti-prejudice educational methods and strategies has several characteristics; first, these methods should serve to fulfill the end of multi-cultural education which intends to an integrated society based on respecting diversity. Second, these methods include any forms of prejudices such as racism, sexism, ageism, and chauvinism. Third, these methods can be applied in terms of intellectual, emotional, and behavioral effects in schools.
