아랍문학과 영화교육 사례연구

A Case Study of Arabic Literature and Film Education

This article aims to investigate and to find the positive alternative for the effective teaching of Arabic literature by using film
as a tool in the university classroom.
Introducing the film education in the Arabic literature is for the first time given method as a trial at the university level in Korea. Various opinions of professors of other foreign literature, such as English literature, will be checked and be followed by analyses of problems and present status at the relevant departments in the universities at home and abroad to achieve the purpose of this paper.
In addition to the above mentioned in relation to the issue of the Arabic literature and film education, the key analysis for the questionnaire which had been prepared to the university students in Jordan and Korea respectively had been finally done and the results accordingly have been come out.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 우리에게는 비교적 난해하며 번역 등 국내에서의 소개가 미흡한 아랍문학의 교육에 영화가 이용되었을 때 기대되는 학습의 효과는 무엇이며 만일 그 효과가 긍정적이라면 그 학습의 효과를 극대화시키기 위하여 제3세계문학 또는 외국문학을 배우는 학생들이나 그들을 가르치는 교육자들에게 예상되는 장애와 문제점이 무엇인지를 다각도로 분석하고 있다.
아랍문학에 영화를 도입하는 문제에 관하여 다른 문학과 비교하고 참조하기 위해 먼저 세계문학 가운데 전통적으로 대표문학으로 자리 잡은 영문학과 그 교수들 사이에 일어나고 있는 문학교육에 있어서 영화의 중요성과 무용성 등 우리나라 학계의 찬반 동향을 알아보았다.
그리고 나서 국내에 개설된 4개 아랍중동지역 관련학과는 물론 이집트와 요르단 등 아랍권과 미국대학에서의 영화 관련 교과과정과 영화방식 도입추세와 문제점을 관련 자료와 문헌조사, 인터뷰 등을 통해 조사를 진행하였다.
마지막으로 강의에 직접 참여한 한국학생들과 본 주제에 관련하여 아랍의 현지 대학생들에게 실시한 설문지조사를 통해 아랍문학 강의에 영화를 도입할 필요성과 당위성을 심층적으로 분석하였다.
끝으로 실제 수년간의 강의경험을 바탕으로 위의 자료, 문헌검토와 설문분석을 통하여 학생들의 아랍문학 이해에 관해 학습효과 증대방안을 도출하였다.
