동북아시아 민족분산과 문화영토 Ethnic Disperses and Cultural Territories : The Case of Korea, Japan, and China Diasporas

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 총괄과제명은 “민족분산과 지구적 소통으로서 디아스포라연구”이다. 근․현대 동북아시아 민족이산의 역사적 연원과 유형을 디아스포라적 관점에서 밝힌 다음, 디아스포라의 이주루트와 문화영토, 모국 연계성, 그리고 초국가적 소통기제를 설명하고 해석하려는 목적에서 이 연구를 수행하고 있다.
제1단계(2010.09.01~2013.08.31) 연구과제는 “동북아시아 민족분산과 문화영토”이다. 근·현대 동북아 디아스포라 공동체의 이산 경로와 문화영토에 초점을 두고 해외한인, 화인, 일계인을 연구하였다. 제1차년도는 “근・현대 해외한인, 화인, 일계인의 이주루트와 ‘기억의 역사’”라는 주제로 동북아 민족 이산자들의 개별적인 월경 경험과 기억을 구술생애사 채록 등의 다양한 방법으로 수집하였다. 그 결과, 동북아 코리안 디아스포라, 화인 디아스포라, 일계인 디아스포라의 이주루트를 지도로 제작하였다.
제2차년도는 “근・현대 해외한인, 화인, 일계인의 공간적 치환과 재영토화”라는 주제로 집단적 기억과 거주국에서의 재영토화를 규명하였다. 연해주 우수리스크 고려인들은 ‘보이지 않는 정주,’ 미하일로프카에 있는 우정마을은 ‘계획 정주’라는 공간적 특성을 보였다. 화교의 집거지는 문화적인 ‘장소’가 아니라 ‘관계의 장’(field of relations) 역할을 수행하고 있다. 일계인의 경우, ‘보이지 않는 정주(Invisible Residents)’가 진행되고 있었다. 그들은 그 지역에 존재하고 있지만 언어나 문화적 차이로 지역사회로부터 인식받지 못한 존재였다.
제3차년도는 “근・현대 해외한인, 화인, 일계인의 집거지와 문화영토”라는 주제로 디아스포라 공동체가 잘 보존된 지역을 중심으로 문화영토의 관점에서 축제와 민속자원을 민속학적으로 해석하였다. 연변 조선족 자치주 정부가 민속문화 보전과 재현의 주체였으며, 조선족의 대표적 축제는 ‘9․3절 축제’였다. 요코하마 차이나타운의 화교는 대만과 대륙 이주자들로 분화되었다. 중국의 전통문화와 민속놀이는 화교 집거지에서 강하게 나타났으며, 화교 집거지를 벗어날수록 문화정체성이 약화되고 있었다. 일계인의 집거지는 일본문화를 잘 보존하고 있으며, 교회네트워크가 매우 강하였다. 문화적 특징은 축제와 삼바음악을 중심으로 한 다문화 연합체였다.
제1단계 연구 성과는 기초자료 5,827건, 학술논문 48건, 국제․국내 학술대회 발표 73건, 3권의 단행본 발간, ‘디아스포라연구’ 6회 발간, 국내․국제 학술대회 14회 개최, 포럼 39회 개최, 7건의 교류협정을 체결하였다. 제1단계에서 생산된 연구 성과물(설문조사, 사진, 구술녹취자료, 단행본,

The main subject of the project is “Ethnic Disperses and Diaspora as Global Communication.” The objective is to find historic origin and pattern of Northeastern ethnic disperses in the age of modern and present, and to interpret what is the migratory route, cultural territories, homeland connectivity, and transnational communication mechanism of diaspora.
The subject of the 1st stage is “Ethnic Disperses and Cultural Territories : TheCase of Korea, Japan, and China Diasporas.” This study is to analyze overseas Korean, Chinese and Japanese focused on the migratory route and cultural territories of the northeastern diasporas’ community in the age of modern and present. In the first year, the sub-title is “The Migratory Route and History of Memory on Overseas Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.” The researchers have recorded the oral life histories about personal migration experiences and memory, and collected data with a variety of methods. Consequently, the migratory route of northeastern Korean, Chinese, and Japanese diaspora can be made a map.
