초등학교 교사-학부모 의사소통 탐색: 행동경제학의 적용

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등학교에서 민주적 교육공동체 파트너로서 교사-학부모의 원활한 의사소통과 협력을 강화하기 위하여 행동경제학의 개념과 원리를 적용하여 의사소통 과정을 분석하고 대안을 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 합리성과 규범성에 기반한 의사소통의 비현실성을 극복하기 위하여, Herbert Simon이 ‘제한된 합리성’을 주창한 이래 Amos Tversky와 Damiel Kahneman에 의해 집대성된 ‘행동경제학’의 원리를 적용하여 교사-학부모 의사소통의 실제를 탐색하고자 한다. 이를 위해 교사-학부모 의사소통 관련 문헌을 검토하고, 한국교육종단연구 2013 데이터를 활용하여 초등학교 학부모의 학교참여 정도와 교사 관계의 만족도를 분석하였다. 분석결과를 토대로 담임교사-학부모로 구성된 4개의 대응인터뷰 팀을 구성하여 한 학기에 걸쳐 개별 인터뷰와 공동인터뷰를 진행하였다. 이를 토대로 교사-학부모간 진행된 의사소통의 양상과 특성을 제시하고, 행동경제학에 근거한 의사소통 활성화 방안을 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the communication process and to explore alternatives by applying the concept and principle of behavioral economics in order to strengthen the communication and cooperation of teacher - parents as a democratic educational community partner in elementary school. To do this, we reviewed literature related to teacher - parent communication and analyzed the degree of participation of elementary school parents in school and the satisfaction of teacher relationship using data of Korean Education Longitudinal Study 2013. Based on the results of the analysis, four matching interview teams composed of teachers and parents were organized and individual interviews and joint interviews were conducted for one semester. Based on the results, we presented the process and characteristics of communication between teachers and parents and suggested communication alternatives based on behavioral economics viewpoint
