This study examines the potential of using a game in the school dance education to improve the education efficiency as used in the physical education. Since the new generation is much familiar with the digital games, this game machine could be applied easily reducing resistance against body movement, and also motivate and attract them into dance movement. This study suggested a method combining play of folk dance and digital game i.e., the folk dance, Gang-Gang-Su-wol-lae, dance of play like characteristics, was used.
And more, this study also investigated the potential of improving dance education efficiency through real life experiencing of virtual reality experiencing of dancing with the digital game characteristics. This inducing of real experience of body movement in the virtual reality, i.e., the digital game, resulted in positive sense on the body movement, and helped health improvement, too. This study expected to prove the effectiveness of the digital game as one of training tool for the school dance education, and to develop this digital game based dance education for improving health and play both rather than art education only.
