한국 현대시에 나타난 죽음의식 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한용운 시에 나타난 죽음의식은 불교적 세계관과 연결된다. 불교적인 세계에 깊은 관심을 가졌던 한용운은 죽음을 ‘거자필반’의 이치로 받아들였다. 이러한 사상은 그의 대표작인 [알 수 없어요], [님의 침묵], [나룻배와 행인｣에서 그대로 드러난다. 이 두 작품은 한용운 시에 나타난 죽음의식을 규명하는 단서를 제공하였다.
정지용 시에 나타난 죽음의식은 도교적 세계관과 연결된다. 그의 죽음의식은 {백록담}에 이르러 더욱 구체적으로 나타났다. 정지용이 주체와 타자의 죽음을 받아들이는 태도와 죽음의 이미지를 형상화하는 방법을 이해함으로써 정지용 시의 죽음의식의 실체가 노장적 상상력과 이어진다는 사실을 파악하였다. [예장], [도굴], [별] 등의 작품에 주목할 필요가 있다.
한용운과 정지용 시의 죽음의식이 동양적인 세계관과 연결되는 측면이 강하다면, 윤동주 시의 죽음 의식은 다분히 기독교적이다. 윤동주는 자기 소외와 자기 상실의 현실을 기독교적인 신념을 통하여 극복하고자 하였다. 그는 매우 여린 감성을 소유한 시인이었다.[서시], [별헤는 밤], [참회록] 등에서 보이듯이, 윤동주는 기독교적 세계관에 입각하여 삶을 승화시킬 수 있는 죽음을 시로 형상화하였다.

A Study on ‘the Sense of Death' of Korean Modern Poetry

This treatise investigated the sense of death of Korean modern poetry with three poet -Han Yong Woon, Jeong Ji Yong, Yoon Dong Ju- in the center. This study shall suggest the important standard that understand philosophical speculation of Korean modern poetry.
The sense of death of Han Yong Woon was connected with the Buddhistic world. The sense of death of Jeong Ji Yong was connected with the veteran general world. The sense of death of Yoon Dong Ju was connected with the Christian world.
Han Yong Woon, Jeong Ji Yong, Yoon Dong Ju played an important role formation of Korean modern poetry. A study on ‘the Sense of Death' of Korean modern poetry gave a much help to understand an aspect of Korean modern poetry.
