구성주의 기반 교원 현직교육 프로그램 모형 개발 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 구성주의 원리를 토대로 한 우리나라에 적합한 교원 현직교육 프로그램 모형 개발을 목적으로 한다. 구성주의는 다양한 해석과 관점이 존재함으로 단일한 이론체계라기 보다는 여러 관점들을 하나로 묶어 주는 인식론적 우산(umbrella)이라고 할 수 있다. 여러 관점들을 구성주의라는 하나의 우산에 담을 수 있는 것은, 이 관점들이 1) 지식은 획득되는 것이 아니고 구성되는 것이며, 2) 가르침이란 지식의 거래(communicating)를 촉진하는 활동이 아니라 지식의 구성(construction)을 촉진하는 활동이라는 데에 인식 같이하기 때문이다. 구성주의 관점에 입각한 교사교육에서는 교사들로 하여금 학생들에게 전달할 것을 많이 확보하게 하는 것이 목표가 아니라, 교사교육을 받는 교사들 스스로 탐구해서 실천해 보고 교수-학습에 대한 이해를 구성해 보도록 하는 것이 목표이다. 즉, 구성주의 교사교육에서는 아동들의 지식 구성활동을 지원하고 촉진할 수 있는 교사를 양성함은 물론이고, 교사 스스로의 지식 구성 능력 향상을 목표로 한다. 따라서, 교사교육을 받는 교사들에게는 교육이론 및 연구들을 검토해 볼 만한 기회와 자신의 신념하에 실천해 볼 수 있는 기회, 그리고 스스로 교수-학습에 대한 이해를 구성해 볼 수 있는 기회가 제공되어야 한다. 즉 구성주의에 입각한 교사교육에서는 교사들에게 스스로 지식구성을 경험해 볼 수 있도록 하는 풍부한 학습 기회가 제공되는 것을 중시한다.
본 연구에서는 구성주의 원리를 바탕으로 교원 현직교육의 철학적, 이념적 토대를 탐색하고, 우리나라 교원 현직교육의 실태와 문제점을 분석하였으며, 교원 현직교육의 수요와 요구를 파악하여, 우리나라 환경에 적용할 만한 교원 현직교육 프로그램 모형을 구안하였다. 아울러 구안된 모형의 타당성을 검증하기 위한 점검의 과정을 거쳤으며, 교원 현직교육 개선을 위한 정책 및 제도 정비 방안을 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to develop the constructivistic in-service teacher education program. Based on that program, I attempted to discuss the characteristics of constructivistic in-service teacher education program. For that purpose, I made a model of constructivistic in-service teacher education program. and I suggested the hints for the policy of in-service teacher education.
Nowadays, changing social environment has posed a threat to an absolute outlook on the truth, and relative and context-specific ones are emerging as alternatives. The constructivism is one of the new approaches generated by the changing view of the world or of the truth. The constructivist teacher education has drawn growing attention since the 1970s, because of a skepticism against the effectiveness of traditional teacher education programs, and the social change.
The results of this study hint that the following four might be helpful for the development of the in-service teacher education of Korea: 1) We need to have countrywide interests in the in-service teacher education. 2) Universities ought to take a significant role for the in-service teacher education. 3) We need a system linking together universities, elementary schools, and secondary schools for the in-service teacher education. 4) We have to establish policies instigating the teachers' spontaneity for the in-service teacher education program.
