차주옥의 <함께 가자 우리>연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 글은 1990년에 발표된 장편노동소설 차주옥의 함께 가자 우리에 형상화된 근대비극 주체의 실존적 조건을 규명하는 데 목적이 있다.
함께 가자 우리는 갈등·대결로 구조화된 대립서사이다. 노동소설의 대립서사는 ‘진실한 비극적 상황’ 속의 노동 주체를 중심으로 발생하는 갈등, 대결, 패배, 승리를 형상화한 역사적·사회적 윤리의 담론이다. 이런 측면에서 윤리의 담론인 대립서사의 본질은 ‘진실한 비극적 상황’이다. 노동소설의 ‘진실한 비극상황’은 근대 비극 주체의 ‘실존적 조건’으로 나타난다.
장편노동소설 함께 가자 우리의 주체의 실존적 조건은 주인공 계순을 중심으로 한 여성 노동자들의 비극적 상황으로 나타난다. 상징적 빚과 관련하여 사회적 존재로서 비극적 상황과 욕망적 죄와 관련하여 개인적 존재로서 비극적 상황이다.
사회적 존재로서 비극적 상황은 자본주의 상징질서에 의해 죄와 빚을 갖고 살아가는 노동자의 삶이다. 이런 비극적 상황은 공장 현장과 아버지의 죄의식을 통해 나타난다. 그리고 개인적 존재로서 비극적 상황은 이데올로기적 욕망에 의해 죄와 빚을 갖고 살아가는 노동자의 삶이다. 이런 비극적 상황은 가부장적 남성 이데올로기와 도식적 변혁 이데올로기에 의해 나타난다.

This paper examines the existential condition of modern tragic subject depicted in Joo-Ok Cha’s long novel Let’s Go with Us
The work is a confrontational narrative formed of the conflict and opposition. The confrontational narrative of labor novel is the discourse on historic·social ethics presenting themes such as conflict, opposition, defeat and triumph which mainly occur in the labor subject in ‘a truthful tragic situation’. In this regard, ‘a truthful tragic situation’ is the essence of a confrontational narrative as the ethical discourse. The ‘truthful tragic situation’ in labor novel is described as the ‘existential condition’ of modern tragic subject.
The existential condition of subject in the novel is expressed as the tragic situation of women labor with focus on the protagonist Kyesoon. It is said to be the tragic situation as a social being involved with the symbolic debt and as an individual one involved with greedy sins.
The tragic situation of the former is the life of labor making a living with debts and sins caused by the symbolic order of capitalism.
