청소년과 함께 하는 과학기술 논쟁 읽기

국문 초록 (Abstract)

과학기술이 주는 혜택 못지않게 그로 인한 환경적, 사회적 위험과 윤리적 쟁점들이 논란이 되고 있다. 과학기술과 그 문제는 우리의 주변에 산재하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 문제는 언제 닥칠지 확실히 예측할 수 없으며 때론 불가항력적으로 일어나기도 한다. 때문에 사후처방적인 접근보다는 이러한 위험에 문화적 감수성을 향상시키는 사전예방적 접근이 필요한 현실이다. 이러한 감수성은 기존의 교육방법으로는 획득할 수 없다. 과학은 과학자 사회 그리고 그것을 포괄하고 있는 광범위한 사회의 맥락에 영향을 받는다. 따라서 우리는 문화와 사회적 맥락을 통해 과학기술에 접근하는 새로운 과학기술 교육을 제안하고자 한다. 과학기술은 종종 사회적 논쟁을 유발한다. 이러한 논쟁은 과학기술의 과학적, 문화적, 윤리적, 사회적 타당성과 관련된다. 이번 강좌는 과학기술이 실행되는 과정에서 논쟁에 초점을 두고, 청소년들이 문화 사회적 맥락에서 스스로 해석하는 것에 목적을 둔다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As the benefits of science and technology, its environmental and social risks and ethical issues are being controversial. this science technological problems are scattered around us. however we could not predict when these problems happen. and that would be irresistable. therefore, we need more precursonary approach which can improve cultural sensitivity of risk, rather than prescritive approach. this sensitivity couldn't be gained by old fashioned teaching. Science is influenced by the context of broader social and scientific community which encompasses it. thus we propose a new approach to science and technology education through the cultural and social context. science thechnologies are often lead to social controversies. this controversies are relating to scientfic, cultural, and social legitimacy. this course would focus on the scientific and technological debate and aim to help students to interpret as their own cultural and social context.
