First year, the research is about the effect of exercise on the brain of a rat model which has post traumatic stress disorder during duration of pregnancy of the rat. We will study the effect of exercise on cytogenesis and apoptosis in hippocampus, secretion of serotonin in raphe nucleus and secretion of immediately early genes (IEGs) in amygdala, locus coeruleus nucleus, periaqueductal gray of the midbrain.
Second year, the subject is the effect of exercise on the brain of rat pups which has hereditary post traumatic stress disorder since they were born [young rats (12 weeks or 3~4 month) & middle-age rats (24 weeks or 6~7 month)] we will study the effect of exercise on cytogenesis and apoptosis in hippocampus, secretion of serotonin in raphe nucleus and secretion of immediately early genes (IEGs) in the amygdala, locus coeruleus nucleus, periaqueductal gray of the midbrain. Therefore, we will investigate effects of physical exercise on the nervous and physiological influence of brain related to PTSD.
Third year, the subject is the effect of exercise on the brain of aging rats which has hereditary post traumatic stress disorder since they were born (80 weeks or 20~22 month) we will study the effect of exercise
