분해접근과 옵션사고에 기반한 기술개발 프로젝트의 평가방법

국문 초록 (Abstract)

기술개발 프로젝트는 치열한 기업 간 경쟁에서 기술적 우위를 확보하기 위한 핵심적 수단으로서 체계적인 기술개발 프로젝트의 평가는 프로젝트의 선정 및 관리에서 매우 중요하다. 제조시스템에서 수행되는 기술개발 프로젝트의 규모 및 불확실성의 증대로 프로젝트 평가의 중요성은 계속적으로 증대되고 있지만, 제조시스템에서의 기술개발 프로젝트의 특성을 반영하는 프로젝트의 평가 방법에 관한 연구는 매우 미흡한 실정이다. 제조시스템에서 기술개발 프로젝트의 목적은 일반적으로 제조시스템의 성과를 향상하는 것으로, 품질향상, 납기만족, 유연성 향상, 비용절감 등이 중요한 성과지표이다. 그러나 품질, 납기, 유연성 등의 향상을 화폐가치로 정확히 평가하는 것이 매우 어렵다. 따라서 제조시스템에서 기술개발 프로젝트의 평가는 화폐가치에 기초한 평가가 아닌 성과지표에 기초한 성과위주의 평가가 필요하다. 그러나 현재까지 제조시스템의 성과지표를 체계적으로 도출하여 프로젝트를 평가하는 것에 관한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다.
본 연구는 제조시스템에서 기술개발 프로젝트의 평가방법으로 성과지표 중심 평가와 옵션사고에 기초한 접근방법을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서는 평가대상 제조시스템에 분해접근법을 적용하여 개발한 제조시스템의 성과측정모형을 사용하여 시스템 성과를 평가하는 과정과 기술개발 프로젝트의 성과평가모형 및 옵션사고를 적용하여 기술개발 프로젝트를 평가하는 과정으로 구성된 통합화된 평가방법을 개발하였다. 그리고 개발된 방법의 적용 및 타당성을 보여주기 위하여 적용 예제에 대해 고찰한다.

Due to the increasing importance of evaluation for technology development projects in manufacturing industry, many evaluation methods have been proposed. However, most project evaluation methods are not directly applicable to evaluate performance improvement projects in a manufacturing system. It is due to the fact that the existing project valuation methods do not deal with performance measures such as quality, identifying and resolving problems, delay reduction, etc which are very important factors to be considered in performance evaluation of technology development projects in the manufacturing system. This paper deals with development of evaluation method of technology development project based on performance measures for the manufacturing systems. The proposed method consists of a performance measurement method of a manufacturing system based on decomposition method and an evaluation method for technology development project based on performance evaluation model and options thinking. A case example is discussed to illustrate the procedures of the proposed evaluation method.
