여대생의 체중조절에 대한 인식 및 실태조사 = Perception and Patterns for Weight Control of the Female College Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this research was to obtain a basic data for nutrition education related with perception and patterns for weight control of the female college students. We took 180 inquiries for female students in Woosong Technical College. Most of the students seemed to worry about their weight. Especially they were dissatisfied strongly with their arms, thigh, waist and leg in their body. It was 45.3% students who has been interest for their weight control in the high school days. The main reason for weight control was to get beautiful appearance. Most students trying the weight control thought that reducing meal amount or frequent meal times and caloric intake are the best way to control their weight. They get knowledge about obesity by magazine or books. The obese students indicate their intention to attend obese clinic class. Misunderstanding of the shape of their body makes nutrition unbalance of them. From the above results, we need to set up a nutrition education class which will help how to take a meal right.
