Epoxy resins are widely used in structural repairing and strengthening work. Typical epoxy resins require primer work for good bonding between substrate and epoxy. Their strength and hardness often can be reduced as the diluted epoxy resin gets hardened, which weakens the cohesion of substrate and grout interface. To overcome the limits of typical epoxy, in this study, the basic material properties and serviceability performances of non-shrinkage grout using silanol were investigated. Its material properties were also compared to those of a typical epoxy product. The experimental results indicated that the non-shrinkage grout using silanol are excellent, compared to the existing epoxy product, in durability, corrosion resistance, and other performances for repairing and strengthening.
