코로나 19로 인한 발달장애 아동의 온라인 교육 문제 탐색 연구 = The Qualitative Case Study on children with a developmental disability who go through the difficulty with online learning amid COVID-19 pandemic

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 코로나 19로 인하여 발달장애 아동이 온라인 수업 환경 속에서 어떤 어려움을 겪고 있는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 코로나 19로 인한 온라인 교육은 전례가 없는 사례이며, 발달장애는 연령에 관계없이 발달의 정도가 다르기 때문에 코로나 19 상황에 대한 주관적 의미는 무엇이고, 교육이 그들의 삶에 어떻게 연결되어 있으며 어떤 의미를 가지고 있는지 파악하기 위해 인터뷰를 통한 질적 연구방법을 사용하였다. 4명의 발달장애 아동의 학부모, 2명의 특수학교 교사가 연구에 참여 하였다.
연구결과, 온라인 교육으로 인해 파생되는 문제와 한계가 있었다. 온라인 교육으로 전환됨에 따라 발달장애 아동이 사회성을 형성할 수 있는 기회가 부족하게 되었고, 발달장애 아동이 가정에 머무르게 됨에 따라 학부모의 가사, 교육 부담이 증가하였다. 또한 개인의 수준에 적합한 교육이 적절히 이루어지지 못하거나, 콘텐츠를 제작하는 데 있어서 어려움이 많았다. 게시된 온라인 수업 콘텐츠의 난이도가 높아 수업을 따라가기 힘들거나, 난이도가 낮아 도움이 되지 않는 경우가 있었다. 또한 발달장애 아동 각각의 수준에 맞는 콘덴츠를 제작하기에는 시간과 물리적인 한계가 있었다.
이러한 결과를 바탕으로 발달장애 아동의 수준에 맞는 온라인 학습법에 관한 연구의 필요성, 코로나 19와 같은 상황에서 발달장애 아동을 위한 교육 가이드 라인 구축 및 교육 콘텐츠 제공을 위한 체계적인 시스템 개발을 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study attempted to find the difficulty of children with a developmental disability in the circumstances of online learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We used qualitative research method to examine their subjective meaning of COVID-pandemic situation, how education is connected and how it influences their life through an interview. 4 parents of them and 2 special-education school teacher were participated into the research.
Results showed that online learning system derives several problems. As the education system has been converted to virtual, it reduced the chance of socialization of children with a developmental disability and left them in-home, which increased the household workload and education pressure on their parents. Appropriate education that is suitable for their own developmental spectrum was not provided. The level of online learning contents was too high that children had trouble understanding the materials and the same applied when the level was easy. In addition, teachers had a lot of hardship and limitation to make proper online learning contents for them.
These results show that having a research of proper online learning method for children with a developmental disability, having education guideline for them in a disastrous situation like COVID-19 pandemic and developing an organized system for providing online learning contents become paramount.
