Basal cell carcinoma is the most common malignancy of the eyelid. Pigmented basal cell carcinoma is a type of the basal cell carcinoma, and it is needed to differenciate with mealignant melanoma clinically.
Authors experienced a case of pigmented basa cell carcinoma which had been thought as a malignant melanoma, but after excision, histopathological study revealed a pigmented basal cell carcinoma. And it had taken about 2 months to invade into the orbital fat after starting to show the lid lesion.
