Various acyl derivatives of L-alanine, L-leucine and L-serine were synthesized.
The relative electronegativity of various acyl residue was able to be evaluated from the data of chemical shift of amide proton of acylamino acids by ^(1)H-NMR measurement and a linear relationship existed between the chemical shift of amide proton of acylamino acids and PK_(a) value of the parent carboxylic acids of acyl residues.
