<조선시대 전자문화지도 연구>의 인문학적 의미와 전망 = The humanistic meaning and perspective of 'the Research on Electronic Cultural Atlas of Chosun Korea'

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리의 과제는 시간-공간-주제의 다차원 구조를 가지는 조선시대 전자문화지도 (Electronic Cultural Atlas)를 개발하고, 이를 응용하여 조선시대 문화에 관한 대규모의 입체적 연구를 수행하는 것이다.
조선시대 전자문화지도는 문화 표현의 근본적인 조건을 좌표축으로 하는 입체적 구성을 가지도록 설계된다. 주제 축은 유형별 분류체계 속에서 문화의 내용을, 시간축은 그 문화가 생성, 변이, 소멸되는 역동적인 과정의 전체를, 공간축은 실제적인 존재의 영역들을 표시하여, 이 다면적 연관 속에서 문화 현상을 총제적으로 파악할 수 있도록 재구성하려는 것이다. 이를 수행하는 과정에서 우리는 조선시대의 전자문화지도뿐만 아니라, 향후에 구축될 인문학 분야 전자 자원의 국제적 소통을 위한 자료 처리의 표준적 방법을 확립할 예정이다.
아울러 우리는 조선시대의 문화를 종합적이고도 연관된 틀로 체계화하려는 대규모의 데이터베이스 구축을 위해서 과제 참여자들이 지닌 전문 분야의 지식을 최대한 수합하고, 나아가 전공 영역을 넘어서서 조선시대 문화 전반을 투시할 수 있는 거시적 안목을 확보하고자 한다. 인접 전공과 소동하고 협력하는 과정에서 각자의 전문영역에 거점을 두면서도 거시적인 연관을 동시에 탐사하여 시간·공간·주제를 인식의 기본 틀로 삼는 새로운 방법론의 체계를 개척하고자 한다.
분야별 문화 자료의 데이터베이스 구축과 이를 응용할 개별 연구의 성과를 집약하여 본 과제는 궁극적으로 조선시대 문화에 대한 인식의 기본구도와 통합적 이해 체계를 공동연구의 성과로서 제시하고자 한다. 이로써 조선시대의 문화 현상이 근거하고 있는 미시적인 지반에서 인접한 事象들과의 거시적 연관이, 시공간의 조건에 따른 동일성과 차이점 또는 지속과 변화라는 역동적인 측면들이 해명되고, 이를 바탕으로 하여 조선 문화 전체의 특징적구조 내지 문화 패러다임을 파악하는 데 기여하게 되기를 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Our project team’s main task is to develope the electronic cultural atlas of Chosun Korea which is constituted by multi-dimensional structure such as time-space-theme axises, and to apply this atlas to the cubical study of the Chosun Korea’s culture.
The Electronic Cultural Atlas of Chosun Korea will be constructed to have cubical structure which is intended to place cultural features in the coordinate axis. Theme axis will treat cultural contents in typological classification system, Time axis will manage total culture process - formation, mutation, extinction, and the space axis will show the territory of actual features subsistence. By knowing cultural phenomena multi-dimensionally, We will reconstruct existing system to understand cultural phenomena totally. Performing this project, we will establish humanistic data processing standard which facilitate international communication, and construct the electronic cultural atlas of Chosun Korea.
To construct large scale database which systemize the culture of Chosun Korea totally and consistently, we collect all the participating researcher’s knowledge. Furthermore, we intend to make each researcher get macroscopic perspective that can overview the whole feature of Chosun Korea’s culture. In doing this interdisciplinary research, our team researchers concentrate on their own major field and explore macroscopic connections, and finally develop new methodological System which adopt time-space-theme axises as a recognizing frame.
By Constructing cultural database in each sphere, and integrating applied individual research output, our project team intends to present a basic planning of recognition and a synthesized understanding system as output of our joint research. I believe that our project team will make clear adjacent feature’s macroscopic connection in the microscopic basis which is the base of cultural phenomena in Chosun Korea, and elucidate dynamic features such as ‘identity and difference’ or ‘continuance and change’. Also I wish our project contribute to understanding unique structure or cultural paradigm of total Chosun culture.
