대학생의 스마트폰 중독 관련 요인

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 스마트폰 중독 경향성과 그 관련 요인을 탐색하기 위한 횡단적 서술적 조사연구이다. 전라남도 및 광주광역시의 4년제 종합대학 세 곳에서 남학생 122명, 여학생 106명에게 자료를 수집하였으며 스마트폰 중독, 우울, 불안, 대인관계, 음주 등의 변수를 측정하였다. 자료의 분석은 t-test, χ<SUP>2</SUP>-test, 다중 로지스틱 회귀분석 방법을 사용하였다. 응답자의 약 17%가 스마트폰 중독적 사용군이었으며 여학생(26.4%)이 남학생(9.0%)에 비해 유의하게 높았다. 다중 로지스틱 회귀분석에서 우울, 대인관계 문제, 음주, 여성 변수가 스마트폰 중독과 관련이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 대학생의 스마트폰 중독 선별검사의 조기시행이 필요하며 스마트폰 중독 취약그룹인 여학생에 대한 관심이 요구된다. 대학생의 스마트폰 중독 예방 및 관리를 위한 중재 프로그램 개발 시 우울, 대인관계 문제 및 음주에 대한 접근 전략이 포함되어야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to explore correlates of problematic mobile phone use among Korean college students. A cross-sectional descriptive survey was conducted. A sample size of 122 male and 106 female students residing in Jeollaman-do province completed the instruments of problematic mobile phone use, depressive symptoms, anxiety, interpersonal relationship, and alcohol drinking. Data was analyzed by multiple logistic regressions. Approximately 17% of college students reported problematic mobile phone use, and female (25%) were more likely to report problematic mobile phone use compared with male (9%). Depressive symptoms, interpersonal relationship, alcohol use, and female were significantly associated with problematic mobile phone use after controlling for other covariates. We call for special effort on early detection and monitoring of problematic mobile phone use among college students. In addition, specific strategies focused on psychological approach for problematic mobile phone use should be developed.
