There are very few who would disagree with the proposition that systematic, scientifically-oriented thinking about Korean foreign policy is still in its infancy. It is next to impossible, to my regret, to find any serious academic work which approaches foreign policy questions by presenting inter-rotated theoretical concepts and hypotheses that are designed to be open to generalization and systematic cross-national(and/or cross-temporal) comparison.
