程度副詞의 意味機能 = A Study on the Semantic Function of Degree Adverbs in Contemporary Korea

According to the traditional school grammar so far, the degree adverbs as a subcategory of adverbs had been taught that is can modify stative verbs, modifying words or some other adverbs. However, we can easily find some cases that degree adverbs are placed before the action verbs and even the noun. These ones had been treated as exceptional ones in the traditional prescriptive grammar, or coincidental cases happened by the free word order tendency of Korean language.
Recently irregular functions in some categories of syntax had been researched out to answer the reason why. The writer knows that some suggestions in this paper can not get to solve problems of the irregularity in some of adverbs fully.
These are to light the dark shade of that in a sense. Some result of the analyses are as follows: The degree adverbs play a role as level sign for a semantic feature of the word in a sentence.
