Putting all accounts together obtained in this survey, mating type, parity and farrowing season have a high effect on reproduction traits before weaning of swine.
Among mating types surveyed, the reproduction traits of 3breedcrosses were superior to those of purebred and 2breed crosses.
Parity effects were important for the traits and the reproduction traits were superior in the 2nd to 5th parity to the other parity. Spring and fallfarrowed pigs and litters tended to be superior. The magnitude and direction of the farrowing season effects changed across the years resulting in significant year season interactions.
Therefore, I think that breeding plans to improve effectively the reproduction traits before weaning are to be utilize the crossbred having highly the effect of heterosis and be farrowed in spring and fall.
