Honeycomb has the unique property of crushing in a uniform, predictable and efficient manner. This makes it well adapted for energy absorption applications. In this study we developed the honeycomb cell configuration optimization system consisted of mesh generator optimiaztion routine and Finite Element Solver. Mesh generation programs are employed for generate arbitrary cell configuration and apply complicated boundary and loading condition automatically. BFS(Broyded-Fletcher-Shanno) method is used to optimize the cell configuration.
