st-tensioned structures in prestressing transfer stage, the deformation field of the tendon of PSC
structures is not equal to that of the concrete except at the anchorages. This paper presents the curved
unbonded tendon model for analytical prediction of nonlinear characteristics and behaviors of prestressed
concrete structures. To represent the interaction between unbonded tendon and concrete, an
unbonded tendon element based on the finite element method is developed using proposed unbonded
tendon model. The numerical analysis procedure including the developed unbonded tendon element
is verified by comparison with reliable experimental results.
