분만 제2기 및 제3기에 있어서의 출혈양에 대하여 = Blood Loss During the Second and Third Stage of Labor

In oder to evaluate the effect of the intravenous oxytocics(Sparteine Sulfate) during late second stage of labor, following experiment was made. In 20 cases of control group, delivery was managed routinely without oxytocics. In the other hand, 20 cases of expermental group, delivery was managed by using slightly modified Dieckmann`s method: deliver the anterior shoulder, wait 30 seconds, inject 100mg. of Sparteine Sulfate intravenously, deliver the posterior shoulder, wait 30 seconds and then slowly deliver the baby. At the sametimes, blood loss during delivery was measured by Acid-hematin spectro-photometric method. The results obtained were as follows: 1) Mean blood loss during delivery, one table loss, was 279ml. and 109ml. in control group and experimental group respectively. 2) Mean duration of third stage was 8.8min. and 3.9min. in control group and experimental group respectively. In 75 per cent of experimental group separation and expulsion of the placenta could be completed within 3min. 3) In the control group two cases of atonic uterine bleeding, over 500ml., was observed, but no such cases in experimental group. 4) Comparison of estimated and measured blood loss was of considerable interest. When losses were small, they were over-estimated and when they were large, they were under-estimated.
