아동이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제와 자아분화수준이 학교생활적응과 학교성적에 미치는 영향 = The Influences of the Children's Perceived Parental Psychological Control and the Level of Self-differentiation on Their School Adjustment and Academic Achievement

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 첫째, 아동이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제와 이들의 자아분화수준, 학교생활적응 및 학교성적 간에는 어떤 상관이 있는지, 둘째, 부모의 심리적 통제와 아동의 자아분화수준은 이들의 학교생활적응과 학교성적에 어떤 영향을 미치는지, 마지막으로, 부모의 심리적 통제와 아동의 자아분화수준이 학교생활적응 및 학교성적에 미치는 영향은 아동의 성별에 따라 차이가 있는지 알아보았다. 서울과 인천지역의 초등학생 총318명(남아 173명, 여아 145명; 5학년 146명, 6학년 172명)의 자료를 분석하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 심리적 통제는 아동의 자아분화와 학교생활적응 및 학교성적에 유의한 부적 상관이 있었으며, 이 중에서 부의 심리적 통제는 학교생활적응과, 모의 심리적 통제는 자아분화와 좀 더 높은 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 아동의 자아분화수준과 학교생활적응 및 학교성적 간에는 정적 상관이 있어 자아분화가 높을 때 학교생활적응과 학교성적이 더 높았다. 둘째, 아동의 학교생활적응은 자아분화수준과 부 통제의 영향을 받으며, 학교성적은 자아분화수준의 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났지만 그 설명력은 크지 않았다. 셋째, 부모의 심리적 통제와 아동의 자아분화수준이 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향력은 아동의 성별에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나, 학교생활적응의 경우에, 남아는 자아분화, 여아는 부의 심리적 통제가 가장 중요한 예측변인이었고, 성적에서는 남아는 모의 심리적 통제, 여아는 자아분화가 가장 중요한 예측변인인 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is tree-folds：the first is to investigate how the perceived paternal/maternal psychological control and the level of children's self-differentiation are related to the school adjustment and the academic achievement of elementary school children. The second is to study the relative influences of paternal/maternal psychological control and the children's level of self-differentiation on their school adjustment and the academic achievement. The third is to investigate if the influences of paternal/maternal psychological control and the children's level of self-differentiation on their school adjustment and the academic achievement differ in the boys and the girls. The total of 318, 5th or 6th graders (173 boys and 145 girls) residing in either Seoul or Incheon area. The results are following：First, Both the paternal and the maternal psychological control are negatively related to the level of children's self-differentiation (except the subfactor of self-integration), school adjustment, as well as academic achievement. Second, To the children's school adjustment the level of an individual's self-differentiation and paternal psychological control were the two significant predictors, and to their academic achievement the level of self-differentiation was the only significant predictor. Third, Some differences were found between the boys and the girls in the predictors showed significant influence on their school adjustment and the academic achievement. The implication of the results of this study to parenting was discussed.
