1980년대 이후 현대 여성시에 나타난 하위주체 자기인식과 저항적 주체화 = A Study on Subject Identification and Resistant Subjectivation Process Appearing in Korea`s Modern Female Poetry from 1980s

Through Julia Kristeva`s notion of `the subject in process` that women`s poetic language has, this work analyzes body form and subject formation process appearing in Korea`s modern female poetry around the 1980s and how the poetry resists the male-dominant ideology in a variety of fashions. This paper demonstrates the disidentification level after 80`s at which she overcomes true contradictions and reveals herself as the subject, through the female writing and on the basis of the intersexual `difference`, all of which are explained in order.
For this reason, this research has two important implications, which is summarized as follows.
Within the context of the existing male symbolic order and patriarchal dominant ideology, the female body on which the role of reproduction and nurture was imposed and which was at the same time understood only as the instrument for fulfilling the male`s pleasure becomes revealed as the subject of oppression. However, her body connotes duality since it, with fundamental differences from that of the male, is a place to look back in order to restore true femininity. In the female poetry after the 1980s, the female body as the subject of oppression is shown to be trampled over and torn apart by male violence, playing a role of what Kristeva says to contain the characteristics of semiotic system and abjection, which results in the body shattering into pieces in the male order. This point is supported by analyzing works of Ko Jeong-hee, Jeong Myoung-ja, Kim Hye-soon, Kim Seung-hee, Kim Eon-hee, etc, which clearly demonstrate such strategy.
The second implication is the categorization of Korea`s modern female poetry through the complex utilization of Kristeva`s concept of the subject in process. In Kristeva`s speaking subject the semiotic system connoting the existence of motherhood constantly disturbs the patriarchal symbolic order. But not only that, abject secretions leading to the distinction from the mother, and to be expelled from the symbolic are utilized in the female poetry as the instruments for the female to invade and resist the male-dominant order. Both the extreme, cruel decomposition of the female body and the destruction of poetic forms make us see maximizing the revolutionariness of poetic languages through the abject instrument.
