The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between practical skill tests of the university entrance examination. The population for this study consisted of 722 male and 94 female applicants who participated the practical skill tests of the university entrance examination during the 1997-1999 academic years, S University. To accomplish the purpose of this study, the central tendence scores and variability were computed in order to compare characteristic scores of male and female applicants. Also, statistic employed in this study were multiple correlation analysis and partial correlation analysis.
The major findings obtained from this study were following:
First, as for the male applicants, there was significant casual relationship between five practical skill tests as shuttle run test, handball throw test, and sargent jump test, dipping test, and side step test.
Second, as for the female applicants, there was significant casual relationship between shuttle run test and handball throw test. And there was significant casual rlationship between shuttle run test and sargent jump test.
Third, as controlling for academic year, there was significant casual relationship between five practical skill tests as shuttle run test, handball throw test, and sargent jump test, dipping test, and side step test.
