대학생의 비대면 교양 수업에 대한 참여 인식 및 행태변화 분석 : 근거이론 접근법 적용 = Analysis on the Awareness of Participation from Students on Virtual Liberal Art Classes and Their Behavioral Changes from Grounded Theory

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 비대면 대학 교양 수업에 참여한 대학생들의 인식과 행태변화를 살펴보고 이와 같은 현상의 실체를 이론화 하기 위해 근거이론을 채택하여 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 심층 인터뷰를 통하여 수집된 자료에 근거하여 대학생들이 경험한 비대면 수업에 대한 인식과 행태변화를 귀납적 접근을 통해 이론을 도출하고자 하였다. 그 과정에서 개방 코딩, 축 코딩, 선택 코딩의 3단계 분석 단계를 거쳐 핵심 범주를 중심으로 만든 통합 틀을 제시하였다. COVID-19로 인해 비대면 수업을 하게 되면서 학생들은 공동체 해체를 경험하게 되고 좌절감, 우울감을경험하게 된다. 한편 그러한 상황에서도 존재감 확인과 자아실현의 욕구를 중심 현상으로써 가지게 된다. 또한 교수와 학생들 간의 몰이해로 어려움을 겪던 상황에서 교수들은 소통 방법의 모색하는 중재적 조건과 수업 방식의개선을 통한 상호 작용 전략을 사용하게 된다. 그 결과 학생들은 비대면 대학 생활의 회의감 속에서 다양한 학습활동과 양방향 커뮤니케이션 방식을 시도하면서 자아실현의 의미와 학습 동기를 비로소 찾게 되었다. 이처럼 이 연구에서는 비대면 대학 교양 수업에 참여한 대학생들의 인식하는 참여의 의미와 행태변화를 근거이론 접근방법으로 분석해 보았다. 그 결과 학생들에게 학습 동기를 부여하기 위해서는 교수와 학생들 간에 양방향소통 방법의 모색과 수업 방식의 개선을 통한 상호 작용 전략이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 교수자와 학생들의생각하는 소통의 의미가 다름을 인식하고 서로를 잘 이해해야 한다는 사실 또한 발견하였다. 이를 바탕으로 학생들에게 적절한 권한 부여를 통하여 비대면 수업의 적극적인 학생 참여를 유도할 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this study, grounded theory was used to identify and analyze awareness of college students participating in virtual liberal art classes and their behavioral changes and theorize such phenomena. In this study, it was intended to derive theory for awareness of college students participating in virtual classes as well as their behavioral changes according to data collected from in-depth interview based on inductive approach. In the course, integrated framework was suggested based on core categories through three-stage analysis procedures of open coding, axis coding, and selective coding. As a result, students made an attempt on bi-directional communication methods as well as various learning activities in the feeling of skepticism from virtual college lives and ended up finding the meaning of self-realization and learning motivation. As shown above, this study has analyzed the meaning of participation recognized by college students participating in virtual college liberal art classes and their behavioral changes based on grounded theory framework. As a result, it was known that interactive strategies were required from seeking for bi-directional communicative methods between professors and students and the improvement of class methods in order to motivate students to learn. In addition, it was found that professors and students needed to recognize how the meaning of communication was different between them and also to well-understand with each other. Based on them, it is expected for students to actively participate in virtual classes by granting proper authorities to students.
