한국교회 내 기독교 파시즘에 대한 비판적 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 기독교 파시즘에 대한 비판적인 연구를 통해 기독교를 권위주의적 종교로 변질시키고 있는 한국교회 내 배타적인 기독교 정치 운동에 대한 대안을 제시하고 있다. 기독교 파시즘은 극단적인 차별의 기제를 내포하고 있다. 그러므로 기독교 파시즘의 이데올로기 속에서 인종차별은 국수주의에 의해, 젠더차별은 전체주의적 독재체제에 의해, 경제적 약자와 빈민에 대한 차별은 신성화된 자본주의에 의해, 타종교-특히 이슬람-에 대한 차별은 기독교 근본주의에 의해 각각 정당화된다. 하지만 나치의 이데올로기에 대한 저항에서 시작된 칼 바르트의 “정치적 예배”에서 알 수 있듯이 파시즘은 기독교적 가치와 대치된다. 섬기는 자로서 그리스도인은 정치적 영역에서 타자를 억압하고 지배하기보다는 고난 가운데 있는 이웃을 섬기기 위한 정치적 변화를 추구해야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper seeks to suggest an alternative to the exclusive Christian political movement in the Korean church, which has changed Christianity into an authoritarian religion through a critical study of christofascism. Christofascism works by the mechanism of discrimination. Therefore, in the ideology of christofascism, racism is justified by ultranationalism, gender discrimination by the totalitarian dictatorship, the discrimination of economic weakness and the poor by the sanctified capitalism, and the discrimination of other religions -especially Islam- by the Christian fundamentalism. Fascism is opposed to Christian values, as has been known by Karl Barth’s “political worship,” which began with a resistance to the ideology of Nazism. Christians as servants should seek political change to serve their suffering neighbors rather than oppress and dominate others in the political realm.
