Surface texturing on contact surface has recently been researched the effect of reducing friction. Surface texturing plays a role in abruptly vertical pressure generation due to shape of texture, fluid reservoirs and trapping wear particles. However all of those mechanisms of friction reduction are not fully understand. Therefore, the purpose of research is to investigate the effect of groove on bearing steel under lubrication condition. At sliding contact, lubrication flow statue depends on groove direction. Also, we consider the drag force causing the contact surface shape, which related to the front shape against flow.
