스마트폰 사용자의 해석수준에 따른 스마트폰 자기통제에 관한 연구 = A Study of Construal Level and Smartphone Self-Control on Smart Phone Users

국문 초록 (Abstract)

스마트폰에 대한 자기 통제력은 스마트폰 중독 및 문제적 이용을 극복함에 있어 중요한 역할을 한다고 볼 수 있으며, 해석수준이론(Construal Level Theory, CLT)에서는 성공적인 자기통제는 해석수준과 깊은 관련이 있음을 주장한다. 따라서 본 연구는 해석수준이론에 근거하여, 개인의 해석수준이 스마트폰 자기통제에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 실험을 통해 증명하고자 한다. 이와 더불어, 목표 중요성이 해석수준에 따른 스마트폰 자기통제의 효과를 달라지게 하는가의 문제를 검증하고, 스마트폰 자기통제 연구의 확장으로서 해석수준과 스마트폰 중독 및 성격과의 상관관계도 알아보고자 한다. 실험결과, 상위해석수준으로 조작된 참가자는 하위해석수준을 지닌 참가자보다 스마트폰에 대하여 강한 자기통제를 보였으며, 반면에 하위해석수준 조건의 참가자는 상위해석수준을 지닌 참가자보다 스마트폰에 대하여 약한 자기통제를 보였다. 그러나 목표 중요성과의 상호작용효과는 나타나지 않았으며, 상위해석수준이 하위해 석수준보다 성격에서 높은 호의성을 나타내었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated smartphone users’ construal level and smartphone self-control. In particular, we focused on Construal Level Theory which explains high-contrual level facilitates one"s self-control. An experiment was conducted to confirm that the users" construal level affects smartphone self-control and whether goal importance moderate the effect of construal level and smartphone self-control. We also attempt to examine relationships among construal level, smartphone addiction and personality. The results demonstrated that high-contrual level participants showed higher smartphone self-control compared with low construal level participants. There was, however, no influence of goal importance on the relationship between construal level and smartphone self-control. Lastly, high-construal level participants showed higher agreeableness in personality.
