프랑스국립도서관 필사본장서부에 소장된 한국 고문헌 연구 = Research on Korean Rare Books in Bibliothèque Nationale de France

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper studies and analyses Korean rare books preserved in the Département des Manuscrits de la Bibliothèque Nationale de France. The collections categorized as Korean rare books include 137 titles and 316 volumes in the Département. As 3 titles and 10 books are found to be Chinese and Japanese rare books, 126 titles and 278 volumes are investigated excluding sheets of talisman with 8 titles and 28 volumes.
Examining these by subjects, there are 12 titles and 34 books of Classics, 60 titles and 106 books of History, 46 titles and 91 books of Sciences and Arts, and 8 titles and 47 books of Literature.
By publishing period, they range from Yukjobeopbodangyeong published in 1370 to Kwanbo (Government Gazette) in 20th century. Expecially most of the books were published in late 19th century when Victor Collin de Plancy stayed in Korea for collecting books.
Woodblock printed books make up the greatest portion of Korean rare book printing type, whereas there exist 18 metal printed books and 23 manuscript ones.
Judging from the fact that dictionary of Chinese characters and syllables, Interpreting and Translation take up a big part of the collection, it is understood that the Victor Collin de Plancy collected them with deep interest in linguistics.
Research on Korean rare books in Bibliothèque nationale de France were focused on Uigwe (Ceremony manual) or Jikji, and only some researchers partly studied before. This research has special meaning that total Korean collections preserved in Département des Manuscrits are investigated for the first time. It is expected that this research provides a foundation on related research.
