In this paper, we examine the results of government find evaluations performed for 2000, 2001, and 2002. We analyze the characteristics of government fund operation and draw implications We apply correlation analyses to analyze the relations among evaluation scores by years and by areas. We apply regression analyses to identify the relations between evaluation scores and characteristics of fund management. Major findings are as follows: 1) the scores of pension and finance-oriented funds are higher than those of business-oriented funds; 2) yearly variation of scores in greater for business-oriented funds than for pension/finance oriented funds; and 3) the scores of out-sourced managed funds are higher than those of directly managed funds.
