한국동화에 나타난 다문화의 양상

국문 초록 (Abstract)

시대적 배경과 상황을 바탕으로 창작된 동화가 ?쌀뱅이를 아시나요?와 ?잿빛 느티나무?이다. 혼혈아에 대한 멸시와 냉대는 부모 중 어느 한 쪽이 흑인이나 동남아시아인 경우에 더 집중되는 것이 현실이다. 이러한 세태는 ?엄마의 나라?의 현준이나 ?쌀뱅이를 아시나요?의 쌀뱅이가 혼혈이라는 열등감에서 오는 갈등이 크게 드러나지 않은 반면 ?똥바가지?에 나오는 망이나 망이 엄마, ?엄마는 여자 블랑카?에 등장하는 하나의 새엄마(리엔)는 주변 사람들의 멸시와 천대 속에 살아가는 비극적 인물로 그려져 있다. ?엄마는 여자블랑카?의 리엔은 결국 한국생활에 적응하며 해피엔딩으로 끝을 맺지만 ?똥바가지?의 망이 모자는 한국 생활에 적응하지 못하고 필리핀으로 쫓김을 당하는 신세에 이른다.
1990년대 이후 유학이나 해외 근로자, 상사주재원 등 활발한 해외진출로 국제 교류가 증가하면서 현지인들과의 국제결혼도 늘어났다. 특히 농어촌을 중심으로 한국 남성들과 중국이나 동남아시아 출신 여성들과의 국제결혼이 늘어나고 해외 근로자들이 증가하면서 자연발생적으로 코시안들도 증가하게 되었다. 이러한 다문화 가족의 실상과 애환을 잘 반영한 동화들로는 ??블루시아의 가위, 바위, 보??, 김일광의 ??외로운 지미??, 김송순의 ??모캄과 메오??등이 있다.
글로벌시대 지구촌 사회를 살아가는 오늘날 인종이나 국경은 이미 초월하는 개념이 되었다. 농어촌 기피 풍조로 국제결혼이 늘어가고, 힘든 일 회피 현상으로 대체 인력인 주한 외국인 근로자들이 나날이 증가하는 오늘날 한국은 단일민족 국가가 아닌 다민족 국가로 전환되고 있다. 더이상 국수주의적 감상에 빠져 보수의 사고로 전통윤리의 늪에서 허우적거려서는 안 된다. 동남아 지역을 중심으로 돈벌이를 위해 한국에 와서 한국인들이 기피하는 3D 업종에 대체 인력으로 종사하며 산업역군으로 자리잡은 중국동포나 동남아시아인들을 무시하거나 허접스럽게 대우해서는 안 될 일이다. 한 때 코시안으로 불리던 혼혈인들도 당당한 한국인의 한사람으로 공평하게 대접받고 능력에 따라 제대로 평가받는 사회가 되어야 한다. 다문화 가정에서 벌어지는 차별, 인권문제와 함께 국내에 거주하는 외국인 근로자들의 인권상황도 사회문제로 떠오르고 있다. 문학이 현실의 반영이니만큼 아동문학 동네에서도 이러한 상황을 좀더 밀도있게 조명하고 탐색해야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Korean multicultural fairy tales which is begun from ‘Kim Hyang Is novel ??Do you know ‘ssalbaengee’??? in 2000 increased in proportion to the increase due to frequent international marriages of multicultural family or foreign workers. In the early days, most of the fairy tale was the story about joys and sorrows of life of children were born of mixed race between American soldiers and Korean women. But because of increase of children of mixed blood were born between Southeast Asians and Korean, society had concern to them, so fairy tales about their human rights issue were increased.
After Japans colonial rule, the Korean War is going on, while a foreign army that the Chinese military and UN military(especially the U.S. troops) stationed in our country, rape women occurred frequently and children of mixed blood were born between a military campside towns women and U.S. troops was increased. Because of the negative perception of these mixed-blood children, they lost their seat and the adoption can only increase. The fairy tale, ??Do you know ‘ssalbaengee’??? and ??A gray Zelkova??, were created, based on these historical background and situation. In Korea, scorn and ill treatment to the mixed-blood children has been further strengthened in case of one side of their parents is a Black or Southeast Asian. We can know this trend through these example that conflicts come from a multi-ethnic inferiority complex didnt appear from white mixed race ‘Hyun Jun’ in the ??Moms country?? or ‘ssalbaengee’ in the ??Do you know ‘ssalbaengee’??? but they appear from these people who live in their neighbors scorn and contempt, such as ‘Mang-I’ or ‘Mang-Is mother’ in the ??A dung dipper??, stepmother(Rienne) in the ??Mom is a woman Blanca??. ‘Rienne’ in the ??Mom is a woman Blanca?? adapt to life in Korea, and happy ending but ‘Mang-Is mom and Mang-I in the ??A dung dipper?? failed to adopt to life in Korea, and were expelled.
Since the 1990s, international marriages increased with the locals, a growing number of international exchange due to active overseas expansion such as studying or working overseas, Chief Representative. Especially, in rural areas, while international marriages is increased between Korean men and women from China or Southeast Asia and the number of foreign workers is grown, naturally ‘Kosian’ also increased. There are some fairy tales that reflected the multicultural familys reality, joys and sorrows well such as ??Rock, paper, scissors?? written by ‘Bluesia’, ??Lonely Jimmy?? written by ‘Kim Il Kwang’ and ??Mokan and Meoh?? written by ‘Kim Song Sun’.
Race or the border became the concept that must be transcended in global age. Today, international marriages and foreigners in Korea are daily increasing by various reasons, we should not ignore or treat negligently any longer by nationalistic sentiment. Once mixed-blood people called ‘Kosian’ must be treated fairly as a member of the Koreans, society should properly evaluate their ability. Childrens literature should further illuminate and seek these circumstance because it is a reflection of reality.
