A rational positive real function having simple poles, complex poles and arbitrary zeros in the s-plane has been investigated. The positive real fuction is realizable as an impedance function of RLC networks formed by connecting simple RLC subnetworks in series or in parallel.
The realization conditions were obtained, and as an example, an RLC impedance function for the rational positive real function was synthesized.
