The differential scattering characteristics of closed three dimensional dissipative dielectric objects is used to calculated electromagnetic scattering and absoption. The equations are solved for dissipative dielectric spheroids. The method developed here appears to be applicable to objectts whose physical size on the order of the wavelength of the incident waves and to be in colsed agreement with recent experimental results by O.P. GANDHI.
