This study is, in the process of changing from manufacturing to service ?oriented job, to make favorable environment for improving the degree of job satisfaction of service employees whose work for customer face-to face, through participation in sports activities.
To conduct this study, 402 regular employees were selected who were working in family restaurants and hotels which are located in Busan metropolitan city, in April, 2009. The data was analyzed by using SPSS for Win V14.0 after conducting questionnaire from a self-administration method.
Through above study procedure, the following conclusions came out;
First, the group that takes part in sport activities is shown higher in the matter of role satisfaction and interpersonal relation satisfaction than the group of non-participation activity.
Economic satisfaction in the degree of Job satisfaction with participating sport item is the highest in the group of participating in nature sports, while the group of participating swimming and fitness is shown the lowest. Future satisfaction and role satisfaction is the highest in the group of participating swimming and fitness while future satisfaction is the lowest in the group of participating ball sports and role satisfaction is the lowest in the group of participating nature sports.
Second, in the matter of interaction between sports activity item and work related trait variables over work satisfaction, there is significant relation between participation item and the work in charge, there is significant difference between item and work.
Job satisfaction by the interaction between item and career is shown significant relation, there is significant difference in item, not career. Job satisfaction with item and income is shown significant difference in all the factors of interaction, item, and income.
